... because music matters.
‘Using the power of music as a power of good.’ - that's the strapline for Jayne's project Guitars 4 Good, a benevolent project which will operate through contributions and proceeds from fundraising gigs and the sale of in-kind donations such as CDs.
The aim of the project is to help children with cancer in various ways, such as with personalised gifts and little ‘goody bags’ for the siblings as they too suffer while their sister/brother is ill. In the future, ‘music as therapy’ sessions by way of acoustic performances by singer/guitarists on paediatric oncology wards.
'G4G' will also help spread awareness of this dreadful disease, as well as help support the children and their families by sharing their stories. Moral support, as well as financial support, is very important to the families.

If anyone has any ideas on helping with fundraising then please contact Jayne via JD Music or the Guitars 4 Good website.
Musicians/bands who contribute will get a namecheck on the Paradiddles, Plectrums and Posers website, this website and of course the Guitars 4 Good website.
Thank you in advance for any support.
The collage to the right shows the photo that Jessica's and Hayley's mum took of the girls with their special cushions. Jessica had cancer (neuroblastoma) as a baby and is now in remission, her younger sister Hayley now has neuroblastoma (one of the worst childhood cancers).
I had seen a photo of the sisters when they hadn't seen each other for 3 weeks due to Hayley being in hospital, with their hands pressed together against the glass on a hospital door. So I designed personalised cushions which include a photo of them together, as I thought that with their 'sister' cushions they'll always be able to hug each other even if not in person.
I paid for the cushions myself until Guitars 4 Good has some funds.
